From an young age, I always felt people around me, my relatives and friends and school and colleges were kind of restrictive and conservative in nature.
I yearned for a forum to express my ideas and thoughts and insights and get a feedback and grow on that. I believe everyone of us has this quality.
I remember, when I was in my college, my dear mother sensing my discomfort on this restrictive atmosphere, told me not to bother about her and my sister to just go away and take up a career and enjoy and grow. She told me your ideas just need a place to be accepted.
One of the things I learnt during the same time was that one way to demonstrate my intelligence was to crack jokes and convey “look how clever I am!“. This was kind of substitute to the general atmosphere around.
Sadly, that led me nowhere.
Recently, I asked my cousin you always enjoy my jokes thoroughly. What have you given me in return? She quickly wriggled out of the situation saying “the opportunity we give you to hear your jokes”.
This is when I decided to offer all young and old, an opportunity to be heard, write a well articulated post about their talent and market the post also.
